On June 9, the “II WEBINAR GO SIMBIOLIVA: new biotechnological solutions for a circular economy of alperujo” took place, an event dedicated to presenting the advancements of this innovative project during its first execution period.

During this second webinar, members of the Operational Group presented the lines of work that have been developed in recent months, addressing key aspects such as climatic fluctuations, crop proximity, and intensive production, which cause significant fluctuations in olive oil and alperujo production. In this context, the members conveyed the advances and key activities of the project, focusing on developing an innovative and natural solution for alperujo management. Specifically, this innovative solution will combine physicochemical processes with specific treatments using microorganisms, in order to obtain a biofertilizer that helps protect the soil and strengthen the resilience of crops.

Additionally, the meeting also included a block dedicated to interacting with other Operational Groups and analyzing potential synergies between their themes. On this occasion, the VINEURO Operational Group participated, a project that has recently begun its activities and works on the sensory quality of wines.
