On November 13, 2024, BIOVEGEN participated in the II Forum BIB “Bioinformatics and Data Science for the Agriculture of the Future“, organized by Bioinformatics Barcelona (BIB) and the Centre de Reserca en Agrigenòmica (CRAG), which gathered over 100 professionals from the sector.
During this event, BIOVEGEN acted as the moderator of the round table “New Business Models: The Most Promising Agrotech Start-Ups”, featuring representatives from Talkual, Planet Biotech, Enkitek, and Rawdata, who extensively discussed the impact and relevance of bioinformatics in the agri-food sector.
Additionally, during the round table, BIOVEGEN provided context on the agri-biotechnology sector, highlighting the main technological trends. In particular, the growing role of bioinformatics was emphasized, highlighting its impact on areas such as crop improvement, data integration and analysis, and the development of computational models and statistical simulations applied to various biological systems.
