On February 21, 2025, the final event of GO FITONET was held: The social network of phytogenetic resources, a meeting dedicated to presenting the main results of this innovative project.

The day brought together more than 50 professionals from the sector and allowed members of the Operational Group to showcase the achievements and results reached in each of the pilot projects. Additionally, the web and mobile application “APP FITONET” was presented, designed for farmers, producers, and companies, aimed at providing immediate access to information and knowledge about phytogenetic resources.

The event concluded with a section highlighting the main milestones achieved under this public-private collaboration initiative. Suggestions and proposals for improvement in the management of grants for Operational Groups were also raised in this section, which were noted by Cristina Simón, a representative of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. Simón, who was in charge of closing the day, emphasized the innovative nature of FITONET and thanked its members for the progress made.
