A new entity has joined BIOVEGEN as a member. GCM Citrus S.L. is dedicated to the obtaining and development of new citrus varieties that add value from the breeder to the consumer. It develops different lines of work and has various projects for the obtaining and evaluation of varieties, such as:
- Program for obtaining new seedless mandarin varieties.
- Evaluation programs for national and international rootstocks.
- Development of new agronomic management methods.
- Certified citrus nursery.
To achieve this, it has an experimental center located in Huelva, where the obtaining, evaluation, and development of different varieties is carried out. It also has evaluation farms distributed throughout the country. Likewise, it has various evaluation agreements at the international level. It collaborates with other public and private research centers, universities, public agencies, production, and marketing companies.
