The PERTE for the digitization of the water cycle promotes the use of new information technologies in the integral water cycle. As part of this PERTE, 200 million euros will be allocated for digitization in irrigation. Among other measures, this funding will aim to increase the installation of meters in water intakes and plots, improve soil moisture and conductivity control systems, enhance the measurement of fertilizer contributions, and automate irrigation systems.

On March 13, a webinar was held to explain the Irrigation Call, outlining the general features of the call for which an imminent publication of bases open for public consultation is anticipated.

  • Total budget for the call: 100 million €
  • Budget per project: grants between 100,000 euros – 2.5 million euros.
  • 7 digital solutions.
  • Call not yet published, expected for June 2023.

Given the interest generated in the sector, we at BIOVEGEN have prepared a report summarizing the main features of the Irrigation Call within the PERTE for water digitization.

  • Version March 2023.
