BIOVEGEN participated on November 17th in panel 6: Innovation in agriculture for a sustainable future at the Green Innovation Forum in Mérida. The aim of this session was to present the new advancements brought by biotechnology; such as new genomic editing techniques or bioproducts that improve crop yields, and how these tools represent a turning point in the agricultural sector, allowing us to tackle climate change and helping to achieve sustainable food production. The event also provided insights into the application of new information technologies (ICT) in agriculture, which is also having a significant impact on crop productivity and reducing environmental impact.
