On November 11, 2024, BIOVEGEN organized the round table “Impact of biotechnology on the environment and agriculture, the challenge of communication“, which took place as part of the X BIOCOMUNICA Congress, held at the National Center for Biotechnology (CNB-CSIC).
The session organized by BIOVEGEN brought together more than 45 professionals from the sector and featured participation from representatives of CNB-CSIC, Generandi, Algaenergy, and Isifarmer, who presented the benefits of their innovation activities in plant biotechnology for environmental sustainability.
Additionally, during the round table discussion, participants engaged in an interesting debate about the importance of communication in the field of biotechnology, in a context marked by misinformation and rumors, despite the existence of various reliable and verified sources of information accessible to the end consumer. Specifically, in this regard, participants emphasized the need to strengthen communication strategies to raise awareness of the benefits of biotechnology applied to agriculture.
