On February 11 and 12, BIOVEGEN participated in the FORO TRANSFIERE, the 5th edition of this forum on science, technology, and innovation.

BIOVEGEN had a workspace where it held 15 bilateral meetings with technology seekers and providers to explore potential collaboration avenues between the public and private sectors. Additionally, BIOVEGEN coordinated the I Meeting of the Working Group on Food Platforms, which aims to institutionalize the existing relationship between Food-related Platforms (plant biotechnology, food, fishing, wine, packaging, and animal health) through the exchange of information, common R&D proposals, partner searches, joint events, and other activities. Furthermore, BIOVEGEN participated as a speaker in the Round Table “Innovation and Technological Transfer in Agri-Food: A Driver of Competitiveness” alongside other related technological platforms, such as Food for Life, Fishing, Wine, and Packaging. This round table showcased the potential of innovation and technological transfer in agri-food as a driver of competitiveness, highlighting significant data from each sector, specific funding, as well as representative success cases.

This Round Table has been featured in the magazine ALIMENTARIA (issue 472, April 2016), which highlights BIOVEGEN’s role as a catalyst for technological development in the agri-food sector and as a promoter of R&D projects.
