The XIV Molecular Biology of Plants Meeting took place on July 4, 5, and 6 at the Fonseca Hostel of the University of Salamanca. This edition of the main meeting in plant biology was organized by the Hispano-Lusitan Institute of Agricultural Research (CIALE), the University of Salamanca celebrating its VIII Centenary, and the Institute of Natural Resources and Agrobiology of Salamanca (IRNASA, a CSIC center).

The event welcomed over 300 experts during the 3-day congress, showcasing scientific innovations of interest to farmers, traders, and consumers. Genetic studies are fundamental since expression is directly related to the organoleptic characteristics of agricultural products. Additionally, environmental conditions influence patterns of genetic expression.

BIOVEGEN collaborated with the Congress organizers in its dissemination and in organizing the session “BIOVEGEN. Science-Business Collaboration and R&D Financing” which took place on Wednesday, July 4 from 17:30 to 19:10. The session addressed the situation and prospects of collaboration and financing of R&D activities between the scientific and business sectors and included the following content:
