BIOVEGEN attended the presentation of the Third Report on Science and Technology of the Alternativas Foundation. The report, titled “How to rebuild the R&D+i system after the pandemic”, analyzes the current situation of science and innovation in Spain and compares it with other countries. It also examines the possible ways to realistically achieve a consolidated and orderly development of the R&D+i system in Spain, so that it can become the basis for a stronger and more resilient economy.
The report was conducted by Vicente Lárraga (professor at CSIC and director of the report) and Mariano Barbacid (head of oncology at CNIO and trustee of the Alternativas Foundation). Additionally, the report includes opinions and possible solutions to the current situation from various perspectives, thanks to the participation of experts from other sectors, such as Isabel Álvarez (director of the Complutense Institute of International Studies) and Carmen Andrade (vice president of the Spanish Association for the Advancement of Science).
