On September 19, 2024, BIOVEGEN and several of its associates participated in the Hybrid Session: “Analysis for the Elimination of Administrative Burdens and Attracting Investment”, held in person at the CEOE headquarters, with the possibility of virtual attendance.
During this session, the attending agri-biotechnology companies were able to present various difficulties and obstacles they encounter daily in their dealings with the General State Administration to representatives from the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Function. Through this communication channel, the aim is to identify and reduce these administrative burdens, as well as promote investment, fostering economic development and strengthening the competitiveness of the agri-food sector.
In particular, during this working meeting, specific proposals were presented aimed at eliminating duplication in administrative processes, modernizing and improving ministerial electronic offices, adjusting financing criteria, flexibilizing project justification processes for R&D&i, and streamlining evaluation and grant awarding processes.
The proposals will be studied by the Secretary of State for Public Function, which collaborates with other institutions to simplify administrative burdens, assess the feasibility of possible improvements, and convey the corresponding solutions to the relevant ministry or entity. Thanks to this collaboration with the Administration, CEOE and CEPYME have presented more than 650 proposals in the last 16 years, generating an estimated savings of more than 1.6 billion euros for companies.
