The European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) has launched the LIFE 2023 call. This project call includes four subprograms:
- Nature and Biodiversity
- Circular Economy and Quality of Life
- Mitigation and Adaptation to Climate Change
- Clean Energy Transition.
This program aims to transform the EU economy towards efficient resource use and to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. It also seeks to enhance the EU’s natural capital and protect health and well-being from environmental and climate impacts.
This program is one of the main contributors to the European Green Deal. The 2023 call allocates 611 million euros for the financing of projects with funding in the form of grants.
Given the importance of this call and the opportunities it offers for innovation in the agri-food and forestry sectors, BIOVEGEN has prepared a report that outlines the main characteristics of this call and its corresponding action themes.
