GIEC Day “Collaborative Innovation for the Circular Economy: Vision and Challenges of the Inter-platform Group for the Circular Economy”

The Inter-platform Group for the Circular Economy (GIEC), comprised of 29 Spanish Technological and Innovation Platforms, will hold the next February 25, 2026 event titled “Collaborative Innovation for the Circular Economy: Vision and Challenges of the Inter-platform Group for the Circular Economy” as part of TRANSFIERE, the European Forum for Science, Technology, and Innovation. The meeting will take place at the G6 stand of the State Research Agency in the Palace of Fairs and Congresses of Málaga.
The GIEC, which has among its priorities promoting efficient resource use through public-private collaboration and R&D+i, works to tap into the potential of innovation and extend the application of the circular economy model in key productive sectors.
The event will start with the presentation of the group led by GREEN FUTURE PLAT. Following that, there will be a round table moderated by SUSCHEM, gathering representatives from platforms such as BIOTECH, BIOVEGEN, MANUKET, MATERPLAT, PROTECMA and SENTIATECH, who will share visions, advances, and common challenges in the transition to circular models.
The event will conclude with the intervention of PLATEA, which will present the main conclusions and next steps of the group, reinforcing the GIEC’s commitment to integrating the circular economy into Spanish R&D+i and strengthening synergies between industry, science, and administration.
