On July 9, the Government presented the Shock Plan for Science and Innovation. This Plan commits more than 1,000 million euros additional to the funds already planned for the years 2020 and 2021, in a bid for R&D+i as a driver of technological, economic, and social development.
The Plan presents measures to strengthen the research system, boost the innovative capacity of companies, and reduce the job instability of scientific personnel. More funds will be allocated to project calls, research staff contracts, and scientific equipment and infrastructure. An additional 508 million € in loans on favorable terms to innovative companies will also be added.
Given the impact and importance of this Plan in the field of plant innovation, BIOVEGEN has prepared a Report summarizing the main measures, objectives, and allocated budget.
