On August 22, 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Tourism published the Order of Bases and call for the second edition of the PERTE Agroalimentario, endowed with 100 million euros in direct subsidies to the sector.

These grants will finance individual projects led by private commercial companies, cooperative societies, and agricultural transformation societies. However, unlike the previous edition, the grants in this 2024 call will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, so that initiatives will be approved and paid as they are submitted until the budget is exhausted.

Relevant data from the call:

  • Deadlines: the presentation period will begin on September 19, 2024, and will end on October 21, 2024.
  • Minimum budgets: R&D line (€500,000 for SMEs and €800,000 for large companies) and other lines (€200,000 for SMEs and €400,000 for large companies).
  • Grant intensity: depending on the type of project and the size of the company, it could reach up to 70% of the project’s execution budget.
