The CDTI has launched the Misiones Ciencia e Innovación 2026 call, with a budget of 60 million euros in grants, which will remain open until June 12, 2026.

This initiative will promote the financing of pre-competitive research projects in cooperation, developed by business groups consisting of a minimum of three and a maximum of six companies, with at least one SME. Specifically, in this current call, high aid intensities are anticipated, which could reach up to 80% in grants.

Additionally, under the framework of Misiones 2026, the Mission 6 “Food sovereignty in Spain: a sector focused on efficiency, quality, sustainability, and food security” stands out.

At BIOVEGEN, we believe there may be opportunities for the agri-biotech sector in the current call through the previously highlighted missions. Therefore, we have prepared this report, which summarizes the main characteristics of the call.
