The initiative Circular Bio-based Europe (CBE-Joint Undertaking)* has published its Annual Work Program (AWP2022), which includes information on the 2022 calls. A total of 120 million euros will be dedicated to boosting bioindustries and the circular economy in Europe through 12 themes. The application submission deadline is September 22, 2022.

CBE’s mission is to advance a competitive bioeconomy for a sustainable Europe, in line with the commitments set out in the European Green Deal and the EU Bioeconomy Strategy. To achieve this goal, in 2022, the public-private partnership will finance projects that develop innovative and sustainable biological-based solutions, focusing on these strategic priorities: raw materials (biomass), processing, products, as well as cross-cutting aspects of communication, financing, and environmental sustainability.

At BIOVEGEN, we have prepared a report that outlines the themes of the 2022 work program and the main features of the call.
