Recently, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation has launched the new R&D Missions Program in Artificial Intelligence.

This program is endowed with 50 Million € and is part of the Spain Digital 2025 Agenda and the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy.

It aims to finance (with a high % of subsidy) large projects, promoting collaboration between research institutions, large companies, and SMEs around the use of artificial intelligence in sectors of great relevance and high potential for disruption and impact.

One of these sectors is AGRI-FOOD: a sustainable global agricultural industry with a carbon-neutral footprint, using Artificial Intelligence, robotics, and bioengineering to identify new methods of agricultural production for 2050.
