• R&D Activities/Interests

  • DESCRIPTION: the mission of IVIA is to contribute to productive and sustainable agricultural activity by enhancing the competitiveness of the agricultural, livestock, and agri-food sectors through the generation of knowledge that responds to technical, social, and economic demands, via excellent applied research and optimal transfer of results.
  • MAIN FUNCTIONS:
    • Promote and carry out research programs, either own or agreed upon, related to the Valencian agri-food sector.
    • Transfer the obtained scientific results and maintain relationships with the agri-food sector.
    • Encourage relationships with other institutions in the scientific community.
    • Promote the organization of congresses or scientific meetings.
    • Advise on matters of agri-food research and development.
    • Contribute to the training of research personnel in line with its scientific purposes.
    • Any other functions that are expressly assigned to it or that derive from the general objectives assigned to its care.

    • Agroengineering Center.
    • Citrus and Plant Production Center.
    • Sustainable Agriculture Development Center.
    • Genomics Center.
    • Plant Protection and Biotechnology Center.

    • Post-Harvest Technology Center.
    • Irrigation Technology Service.
