On April 24, BIOVEGEN participated in the meeting of the R&D&i Commission of the CEOE, which, due to current circumstances, was held virtually. This Commission works with the aim of improving the competitiveness of the Spanish industrial sector and promoting increased investment in R&D&i activities. Specifically, in this session, the draft document “No company should halt its R&D&i activity” was presented.

This document comes at a time when the health crisis is beginning to subside and, consequently, we are in a position to formulate the necessary policies for the critically important next 24 months; an extraordinary recovery period aimed at achieving two primary objectives: to accelerate the return to normal economic cycle rhythms and ensure that no company is tempted to deprioritize its investments in R&D&i while also encouraging new entities to join this creative activity. Therefore, the structure of the document consists of a set of proposals, formulated very concisely, for the Spanish Government to consider in order to shape an extraordinary recovery period for business activity and maintain the business fabric while generating new products and processes that will serve for the coming decades.
