As reported in the GOCITRUS newsletter #2, due to the State of Alarm declared by Royal Decree 463/2020 on March 14, because of the coronavirus health crisis, the normal functioning of the project has been disrupted. This disruption has affected the execution of activities that could not be carried out according to the initially planned schedule. However, in order to minimize the consequences of this situation, project members held extraordinary meetings and adopted various measures to maintain the development of GOCITRUS activities. These measures include a rescheduling of the GOCITRUS activity timeline, especially regarding the holding of events and public presentations of the project.
All these measures and adaptations were outlined in a document presented last July to the managers of the Operational Groups Call. After reviewing this document, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has approved the changes proposed by the GOCITRUS members, thus ensuring the continuity and success of the innovative project.
In this context, GOCITRUS will also face the justification of its first execution period in the coming weeks. This process is aimed at presenting progress and demonstrating the advancements made in the project through various indicators.
