A new entity has joined BIOVEGEN as a partner. CARTIF is a horizontal, private, non-profit Technology Center. Its mission is to provide innovative solutions to companies to improve their processes, systems, and products, enhancing their competitiveness and creating new business opportunities.
CARTIF develops R&D+i projects funded directly by companies or through public funds obtained in competitive calls at national and international levels. CARTIF also advises public administrations (municipalities and regional governments) in the planning and development of innovative projects with high economic returns.
CARTIF is a multidisciplinary center that operates in multiple areas of knowledge focused on almost all economic sectors: energy, food, industry, construction and infrastructure, health and environment, with technological lines that address the main challenges in each of them, such as smart grids, smart cities, energy efficiency, heritage, quality of life, circular economy, natural resources, and biotechnology.
In the field of Biotechnology, CARTIF integrates various areas of knowledge and tools based on biotechnology and green chemistry for the improvement and sustainability of industrial processes, the environment, and quality of life. There is a commitment to research and implementation of solutions applied to the industrial sector (agri-food, chemicals, materials), from the perspective of developing more efficient, sustainable, and life cycle-integrated products and processes.
