BIOVEGEN established a collaboration agreement with AINIA, a technological center of reference in the agri-food sector, for the development of webinars of interest that add value to the sector. This collaboration agreement between AINIA and BIOVEGEN has allowed for the organization of thematic webinars aimed at key players in the agri-food sector, focusing on aspects of special interest, both technical and transversal, and R&D management.
In this context, on May 19, the second of the webinars was held under the title “Genetic Editing in Plant Production. Future and Regulatory Framework”. The virtual meeting provided an insight into the advancement of synthetic biology towards the standardization of genetic components for their reuse, compatibility, and quality control, making it increasingly feasible to develop ad hoc tools for genetic engineering. The webinar also featured the participation of a partner company of BIOVEGEN: VALGENETICS, which presented its experience in the application of these techniques.
