I-GRAPE LABORATORY has patented technology for the valorization of waste from the agri-food industry through the extraction of bioactive natural extracts. It currently markets extracts in the zoosanitary sector with antibacterial, preservative, and fungicidal activity, used for preventive hygiene against diseases such as Mastitis, and for the preservation of biological samples. i-Grape conducts its R&D activities in projects aimed at the food, pharmaceutical, and veterinary sectors, bio-pesticides, and biocides; developing extracts as natural active substances with antibacterial, fungicidal, and preservative properties.
As part of its commitment to sustainability and circular economy, i-Grape Laboratory has patented technology for producing vermicompost from the solid waste generated during extraction. Vermicompost is a microbiologically active substrate, with high water retention capacity, high content of humic substances and nutrients, and a high load of extracellular enzymes; giving it specific properties as a fertilizer, biostimulant, bioremediator, and biocontrol.
