The Plant InterCluster (PIC) is an international cluster created 10 years ago in France that acts as a network with clusters from other sectors: cereals, horticulture, ornamentals, medicinal plants, etc. Since 2019, BIOVEGEN has participated in the activities of this cluster, which has been managed since 2018 by the French agri-food cluster VEGEPOLYS VALLEY, and whose objectives include:
- Exchange of best practices in innovation governance
- Support for technological cooperation and collaborations for innovation.
- Opportunities for international business development.
In this context, BIOVEGEN has recently signed, along with 9 clusters from 6 countries in the European Union, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that marks a milestone for the consolidation of this international structure, which also includes AGRI SUD OUEST INNOVATION, AGROCULSTER, CLUST-ER, CTA, FEMAC, IND-AGRO-POL, INNOV’ALLIANCE, GPWH, and VEGEPOLYS VALLEY. The structure therefore has representatives from France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, the Netherlands, and Romania. This agreement strengthens BIOVEGEN’s position in the Plant InterCluster and enhances opportunities for the development of projects and R&D activities at the international level.
