On February 21, BIOVEGEN participated in the 2nd Technology Transfer Days: Agri-food, nutrition, and hospital diets during the inaugural conference with the presentation “Overview of plant biotechnology and BIOVEGEN as a plant innovation ecosystem,” where it highlighted the importance of R&D&I in agri-biotechnology within the Spanish primary sector, and how the Platform develops its activities within this.
At the event organized by the University of Alicante, in collaboration with the Technological Institute for Children’s Products and Leisure (AIJU), the Technological Institute of Informatics (ITI), and the Technological Institute of Footwear (INESCOP), and funded by the Valencian Innovation Agency (AVI), 40 participants (7 companies with 19 research groups) attended. This day and the meetings held during it allowed companies to learn about their needs. It also enabled companies to understand the research being conducted at the UA in their field and generate synergies that could be developed into projects fostering science-business collaboration.
