On January 17, 2024, BIOVEGEN participated in Biostimulants Europe 2024 with the presentation “BIOVEGEN: Public-Private Collaborations as R&D Service Platform Providers in Plant Biotechnology. The event gathered industry leaders, researchers, scientists, and professionals from the biostimulant sector. Additionally, it served as a platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and discussions on the latest advances, challenges, and opportunities in the field of biostimulants. Due to BIOVEGEN’s collaboration with the event organizers, BIOVEGEN partners enjoyed special participation conditions. During the event, BIOVEGEN took the opportunity to present the FITONET Operational Group, an innovative project aimed at developing a digital environment and living laboratories to enhance phyto-genetic resources of agricultural interest.
The FITO_NET Operational Group, endowed with a budget of 594,138.18 euros, is co-financed by the European Union at 80% from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and 20% from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, with the Directorate General for Rural Development, Innovation, and Food Training (DGDRIFA) being the managing authority responsible for implementing the aid.
