On January 29, 2025, BIOVEGEN participated in the event “Exploring Agro-Tech Opportunities: networking and collaboration between the United Kingdom and Spain,” organized by the Institute of Natural Resources and Agrobiology of Salamanca (IRNASA-CSIC), the British Embassy in Spain, and the UK Agri-Tech Centre. This meeting, focused on stimulating cooperation among stakeholders in the agri-food sector of the United Kingdom and Spain, brought together key companies and institutions to drive innovation in the agri-biotechnology sector in both territories.
During the event, representatives from the UK Agri-Tech Centre and the Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castilla y León (ICECYL) presented their capabilities and the opportunities they offer for creating and consolidating innovative companies. Additionally, several companies and research centers from the United Kingdom shared their experiences and recent initiatives in agri-biotechnology innovation.
The meeting concluded with pre-scheduled bilateral meetings and a working lunch, which served to strengthen existing collaboration and explore new direct synergies between entities from both countries.
