On July 9, the Government presented the Shock Plan for Science and Innovation. This Plan commits more than 1 billion euros in additional funds to those already planned for the years 2020 and 2021, in a bid for R&D+i as a driver of technological, economic, and social development.

The Plan includes measures to strengthen the research system, boost the innovative capacity of companies, and reduce job instability for scientific personnel. More funds will be allocated to project calls, contracts for research personnel, and scientific equipment and infrastructure. An additional 508 million euros in loans under favorable conditions for innovative companies will also be added.

Given the impact and importance of this Plan in the field of plant innovation, we at BIOVEGEN have prepared a Report summarizing the main measures, objectives, and allocated budget.
