The PERTE for water cycle digitalization promotes the use of new information technologies in the integral water cycle. Within this PERTE, 200 million euros will be allocated for digitization in irrigation. Among other measures, this funding will be aimed at increasing the installation of meters at water intake points and plots, improving soil moisture and conductivity control systems, enhancing the measurement of fertilizer contributions, or automating irrigation systems.

On March 13, a webinar was held to explain the irrigation Call, in which the general characteristics of the call were outlined, for which a forthcoming publication of bases open for public consultation is anticipated.

  • Total budget for the call: 100 million €
  • Budget per project: grants between 100,000 euros – 2.5 million euros.
  • 7 digital solutions.
  • Call not yet published, expected in June 2023.

Given the interest generated in the sector, we at BIOVEGEN have prepared a report that summarizes the main characteristics of the irrigation Call within the water digitalization PERTE.

  • Version March 2023.
