The Circular Bio-based Europe (CBE-Joint Undertaking)* initiative has published its Annual Work Program (AWP2022), which includes information on the calls for proposals in 2022. A total of 120 million euros will be dedicated to boosting the bioindustries and circular economy in Europe through 12 themes. The application deadline is September 22, 2022.
The mission of CBE is to advance a competitive bioeconomy for a sustainable Europe, in line with the commitments established in the European Green Deal and the EU Bioeconomy Strategy. To achieve this goal, in 2022, the public-private partnership will fund projects that develop innovative and sustainable solutions based on biological resources, focusing on these strategic priorities: raw materials (biomass), processing, products, as well as cross-cutting aspects of communication, funding, and environmental sustainability.
