The next November 10 deadline for submitting the consultation on the reform of the European Union Biotechnology Law is approaching, aimed at regulating the use of biotechnology more efficiently, with the goal of improving the size and competitiveness of the biotechnology sector in the EU.
This new Biotechnology Law will propose several measures to create an environment that allows for the acceleration of the transition of biotechnology products from laboratories to factories, as well as their introduction into the market, while maintaining the strictest safety standards to protect the population and the environment.
Given the importance of this instrument, BIOVEGEN has prepared a contribution to the proposal regarding this law, focusing on plant biotechnology.
