On February 4, 2026, BIOVEGEN participated in “Biostimulants Europe 2026” with the presentation “BIOVEGEN: Public-Private Collaborations as R&D Service Platform Providers in Plant Biotechnology. The event, which took place in Valencia, brought together industry leaders, researchers, scientists, and professionals from the biostimulant sector. Additionally, it served as a platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and discussions about the latest advancements, challenges, and opportunities in the field of biostimulants. Due to BIOVEGEN’s collaboration with the event organizers, BIOVEGEN partners had special participation conditions. During the event, BIOVEGEN presented the Operational Groups BIODIF and SIMBIOLIVA in which it is currently involved:
- The Operational Group BIODIF is a project aimed at biofunctionalization with essential micro/macroelements of three national strategic crops used as food matrices (tomato, corn, and olive) for the production of table olives and oil, through the application of nanotechnology (nanofertilizers).
- Meanwhile, the Operational Group SIMBIOLIVA is a project focused on developing biotechnological solutions to promote a circular economy in olive groves associated with pomace that allows protecting the soil from degradation and increasing crop resilience.
